Taylor Swift’s The Eras Tour kicked off in the United States and has recently enchanted European fans. In May, she performed in Paris, and in June, she held six incredible shows in Lyon, thrilling her French audience.
Unfortunately, her upcoming concerts in Vienna, originally set for August 8, 9, and 10, have been canceled.
The organizer, Barracuda Music, shared on Instagram that the concerts had to be called off due to a confirmed terrorist threat at Ernst Happel Stadium. “For everyone’s safety, we have no choice but to cancel the three concerts,” they said.
Austrian police arrested two people recently, including a 19-year-old who was planning the attacks. The first arrest was of an Austrian citizen who had connections with ISIS. This arrest happened near Vienna during a targeted operation.
Public Safety Director Franz Ruf said the suspects were targeting Taylor Swift’s concerts. Police also found “chemical substances” at the suspect’s home.
